Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt's Son Pax Makes A Rare Public Outing As Insiders Reveal His Career Plans
When your parents are Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, it’s no surprise when the creative spotlight rubs off on the next generation.
Pax Jolie-Pitt announced that his time in Hollywood had arrived when he popped up at the premiere of the short film, Self Custody, on January 23 at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. It’s rare for the 22-year-old to seek any type of public attention, but he posted for snapshots with the movie’s co-directors, Fernando Ferro, and Garrett Patten.
Fans should get used to seeing Pax at entertainment industry events because TMZ reported that he’s on talks to work on a project with Ferro and Patten. A source described Jolie and Pitt’s son as doing “extremely well” in his new career.
Pax already has a few projects under his belt, including as a voice actor in 2016’s Kung Fu Panda 3, and on the crew of 2017’s First They Killed My Father, and 2024’s Maria. All of his credits were movies his mother starred in, directed, or produced, but it sounds like Pax is ready to spread his wings beyond his nepo-baby status.
In 2022, Jolie praised Pax and her eldest son, Maddox, 24, for teaming up with her on the movie she directed, Without Blood.
“We work well together. When a film crew is at its best, it feels like a big family, so it felt natural,” she told People about her sons working in the assistant director department. “[He] worked hard,” she said of Pax.
The Oscar winner fostered her children’s creativity from a young age and didn’t discourage a career in the arts like other celebrity parents.
“I always wanted them to be around film because I wanted them to know as a part of — it’s such a wonderful family, to be creative, to be an artist,” Jolie told the Daily Mail in February 2025. While her six kids are happy to explore jobs behind the scenes, they aren’t interested in life in front of the camera.
Daughter Vivienne, 17, co-produced the Tony Award-winning Broadway show, The Outsiders, with her mom. Shiloh, 19, has been exploring a career in dance, and Zahara , 21, is a senior at Spelman College. It’s unclear what Knox, 17, is interested in right now, but he still has plenty of time to decide.
