NIT-R, ORMAS sign pact for mahua processing unit
NIT Rourkela and ORMAS Sundargarh have partnered to establish a mahua processing plant. This Rs 1 crore project aims to transform mahua into high-value non-liquor food products. The initiative will reduce post-harvest losses and diversify tribal income. Local self-help groups will receive training for improved processing and market integration.
