Thomas Frank made a funny observation to Randal Kolo Muani after the striker scored his third goal for Tottenham Hotspur against Eintracht Frankfurt.
In the lead-up to the game, it was reported in Germany that Kolo Muani would get a hostile reception on his return to Frankfurt, and that is exactly what transpired.
The Frenchman was greeted with a chorus of boos whenever he touched the ball, but he eventually silenced the home crowd with a 47th-minute strike to give the away side a lead.
Spurs would eventually go on to score a second through substitute Dominic Solanke to seal a comfortable 2-0 win and secure direct passage to the round of 16 stage of the Champions League.

All of the 27-year-old’s three goals have come in the Champions League, and two of his three assists have also come in the competition, with the forward yet to score or assist in the Premier League for the Lilywhites.
His previous two goals came against another one of his former sides, PSG, and Frank admitted he joked to Kolo Muani that he would like him to start scoring against teams that he has not played for in the past.
When asked about the Frenchman’s performance, Frank told Football.London: “First of all, I was very happy that he scored the goal. I think, actually, he looked like a threat. He almost got an assist with the first one that was disallowed.
“He was very involved in that. Great action. I think he has had great actions throughout the game. So I’m very happy that he got the goal and I said to him, please start scoring against others than your former clubs, that would be nice.
“But we know when you come to a new club, a new country, it’s never straightforward and never in the Premier League. I hope this will give him some confidence.”
Does this put an end to rumours of Kolo Muani’s Spurs exit?
Over the last few days, reports have suggested that Juventus have contacted Kolo Muani about cutting short his loan spell at Tottenham and returning to Turin in a temporary deal.
It was even suggested by some sources that Kolo Muani is keen on returning to the Allianz Stadium after his successful loan spell at the club last term.
One would think that the striker’s impressive performance at Frankfurt and Tottenham’s progression to the final 16 would put to bed any suggestions of an early exit for the on-loan PSG man.
