Lincoln Tech Returns to Stafford Speedway for 17th Straight Season, Joins Contingency Program for 2026
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Lincoln Tech of East Windsor, CT will return to Stafford Speedway for a 17th consecutive season as a track marketing partner. Over the past 16 years Lincoln Tech has been the title sponsor for a variety of events, including 6 Mod Open 80 races, 6 MRS races, 2 Kids Night races, a MTS event, and the Late Model 100 in 2010 that began Lincoln Tech’s relationship with Stafford. For the 2026 season, Lincoln Tech will be the title sponsor of the July 3rd Lincoln Tech Kids Night. In addition to sponsoring the Kids Night, Lincoln Tech will join the Stafford Speedway contingency program for the first time as a first place SK Light partner, offering each 2026 feature winner a $100 bonus.
“This will be our 17th consecutive season at Stafford and we’re hyped and we’re all stoked to be a part of the contingency program,” said Rob Wargo, Assistant Director Admissions / Field for Lincoln Tech, East Windsor Campus. “I’ve seen the contingency program at Stafford for years now and always wondered what it would be like to be a part of and the track put together a great deal for us. This will be our first time doing contingency and we’re paired with a great division that has great racing and we’re looking forward to not only seeing some great competition on the track, but giving something back to the drivers who put on the great show every Friday night.”
Prior to the 2026 season, Lincoln Tech sponsored the Back to SKool Kids Nights in August in 2015 and 2016 and they will return to sponsoring Kids Night on July 3rd.
“We’re excited about changing races,” continued Wargo. “The Kids Night is something new and something different for us at Lincoln Tech to get excited about. This is earlier in the season for us than our usual August race date and for us July is a big time because that’s when all our new students start school. The Lincoln Tech Kids Night is a great opportunity for our high schoolers and their parents to come on out to the racetrack and have something to do on a Friday night rather than having parents going right back home after dropping off their kids. We cover from Maine to Pennsylvania with 13 reps all across the Northeast and the students actually start school on June 30th, so this Kids Night race date of July 3rd really works out well for us.”
Over the years, Lincoln Tech has become known for producing unique trophy awards for race winners, ranging from air-brushed hoods to gold, silver, and bronze medallions, a championship belt similar to a wrestling belt, and a trophy consisting of car parts. The plans for 2026 are still being formulated but Lincoln Tech will once again present something unique to the winners.
“We’re working on putting together some unique awards for that night, including the kids’ races along with the 5 feature events,” said Wargo. “We’ll have bandanas and rally towels again for the first 500 fans through the gates on July 3rd and if we can get something even better than bandanas and rally towels, we’ll bring that for the fans as well.”
