Tottenham Hotspur confirm team XI for must-win Champions League clash with Frankfurt
The Tottenham Hotspur starting line-up for the Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt has been announced.
Tottenham Hotspur are once again back on the European stage following a rather disappointing 2-2 draw against Burnley in the Premier League.
While the Lilywhites struggle domestically, their form in the Champions League has been impressive, with Thomas Frank’s side only losing once and picking up three wins in their last five outings in the league phase so far.
That good run of form has put Tottenham in pole position to finish in the top eight of the league phase, but a victory against Eintracht Frankfurt is crucial tonight if they are to do so.

Thomas Frank’s side remains stretched due to the injury crisis, with his players continuing to drop like flies.
Pedro Porro is among the latest to have picked up an injury, with the Spaniard expected to miss the next four weeks after picking up a hamstring injury in the Burnley match.
Micky van de Ven is also nursing a knock and is unavailable for selection tonight as Spurs take to the pitch in Germany.
The Dutchman and the Spaniard join already sidelined stars James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Mohammed Kudus, Richarlison, Ben Davies, Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Bergvall, who are out for extended periods.
While Conor Gallagher, Radu Dragusin, Yves Bissouma and Mathys Tel are unavailable for selection as they are not registered in Spurs’ Champions League squad.
However, the return of both Joao Palhinha and Pape Matar Sarr is a big boost for a severely depleted Spurs side.

Thomas Frank continues to remain under pressure as results in the last few months have failed to improve.
A victory last time out in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund eased some of that tension, before failure to build on it against Burnley saw the Dane return to the spotlight.
Eintracht Frankfurt have nothing to play for as they sit in 33rd place with no hope of making the play-off spots, having won just once in their last 10 matches and losing 3-2 to Qarabag in their previous Champions League outing, making this a fixture Frank must win.
