‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 Finally Has a Release Date—Plus a First Look at the New Episodes
Apple TV has finally announced the release date of Ted Lasso's fourth season, along with an official first look at the upcoming episodes.
The show's previous season ended back in May 2023, with JasonSudeikis' titular main character leaving his role as manager of AFC Richmond to return back home and be with his son, Henry.
In his stead, Brett Goldstein's character Roy Kent stepped up to become Richmond's new head manager, while Hannah Waddingham's character Rebecca prepared to set up a new women's team for AFC Richmond.
Ted Lasso Will Return In Summer 2026
Varietyreports that Ted Lasso will be returning to screens later this summer, with the show airing weekly episodes on Apple TV+.
The streamer has confirmed that Jason Sudeikis will return as the titular character despite rumors that he would be exiting the show; Waddingham, Goldstein, Jeremy Swift, Brendan Hunt, and Juno Temple are also confirmed to return.
New additions to Ted Lasso's season 4 cast include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, and Rex Hayes. Emmy-winner Jack Burditt of Modern Family will also be joining the show as an executive producer.
What Is Ted Lasso Season 4 About?
Per Variety's reporting, the new season of Ted Lasso will follow Sudeikis' protagonist as he returns to England to coach AFC Richmond's second division women's team. The official synopsis teases: "Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”

Ted Lasso is sure to be one of Apple's biggest projects over the summer; the first season became the most Emmy-nominated comedy series of all time, and it landed back-to-back awards for Outstanding Comedy Series for its first two years on air.
