Fury over destruction of 300-year-old Ahom Maidam in Sivasagar
In Sivasagar, Assam, a centuries-old burial mound belonging to the Ahom dynasty and associated with Sati Joymoti's lineage has suffered significant destruction due to land mafia activities. Concerned locals reached out to the All Tai Ahom Students’ Union, who discovered the once-sacred site reduced to mere rubble by construction machines.
