“There are five days to finish the window. [Douglas] Luiz is a player joining us because of central midfield injuries,” said the Aston Villa coach via Birminghamlive.
Douglas Luiz spent the first part of the season at Nottingham Forest, but the Premier League side informed Juventus that they were unwilling to make his move permanent for €25m.
Juventus will therefore welcome the Brazilian back to the club before sending him back to Aston Villa, also on loan with an option to buy.
Douglas Luiz set for Aston Villa return
Douglas Luiz had joined Juventus from Aston Villa in a permanent €50m transfer in the summer of 2024.
During his time at Aston Villa, the 27-year-oldscored 22 goals and provided 24 assists in 204 appearances across all competitions.
His spell at Juventus was way less productive as the Brazilian failed to score or assist in 27 matches in 2024-25.
