Tottenham could be next beneficiary of Brazilian bid after £36m Lucas Paqueta deal
Tottenham Hotspur could receive a bid from Flamengo in the summer after the big-money move for West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta.
Thomas Frank has confirmed that there will be no more exits from Spurs in January due to the club’s injury crisis.
However, one would expect the Spurs squad rebuilding to continue in the summer, with some long-serving players potentially on their way out of N17.
One of those who could be bound for an exit is Tottenham’s top scorer this season, with eight goals across all competitions so far.
Brazilian club targeting Tottenham striker Richarlison this summer
A report in Bolavip has revealed that Flamengo are plotting a move for Richarlison during the summer window.
The club’s head coach, Filipe Luis, has asked the hierarchy to prioritise signing a centre-forward, and internal discussions are taking place over a possible move for the former Everton man.
In fact, Flamengo’s sporting director has already started gathering information on a potential deal for Richarlison.
The Brazilian club are extremely ambitious and want to signal their intent by adding the Spurs man to their squad after securing the services of Lucas Paqueta.
Richarlison and Spurs have come to a transfer agreement
The Tottenham striker will have just a year left on his contract in the summer, and according to a recent report, a decision has already been made on his future.
That is according to ESPN Brazil, who claimed that Tottenham and Richarlison have agreed to go their separate ways at the end of this season.
Both parties feel that the striker needs a fresh start in a new environment, with Spurs expected to demand around €25m (£21.7m) for his services.
