Haylie Duff May Have Confirmed Her Feud With Sister Hilary Amid 'Toxic Mom Group' Drama
The “toxic mom group” drama isn’t going away anytime soon, and Haylie Duff and Ashley Tisdale may have turned the heat up a notch on the simmering story.
Notice we said, Haylie, not Hilary Duff, who reportedly is a part of the group of A-list friends, including Meghan Trainor and Mandy Moore, that Ashley parted ways with. The High School Musical actress spilled the tea in an early January 2026 article for The Cut, and now it appears Haylie has taken sides — and it’s not with her sister.
Haylie and Ashley posted images of their daughters hanging out together in an Instagram Story on January 27. Haylie’s 7-year-old daughter, Lulu, and Ashley’s 4-year-old daughter, Jupiter, appeared to be sharing secrets under the table. Haylie captioned the image, “Under table shenanigans,” while tagging Ashley in the process.
This playdate seemed to subtly confirm that Haylie and her younger sister aren’t on speaking terms since it looks like she sided with Ashley. While neither sibling has confirmed that they are feuding, the “Come Clean” singer danced around the topic in a November 2025 interview with Rolling Stone.
“I’m ready to fill in the blanks and share with people and connect with them on the level of now,” she explained. “My fans have gone through a lot of the same things, whether that’s complicated relationships, anxiety, raising kids, divorces, trying to find yourself in adulthood [or] family drama.”
It’s been almost six years since Hilary or Haylie were seen in public together per a Page Six snapshot taken in Los Angeles in March 2019. Adding more mystery to the plot is Hilary’s new song, “We Don’t Talk,” which she debuted at her recent concert in London for her Small Rooms, Big Nerves tour. The lyrics allude to a rift between two people:
“Don’t know when it happened / Not even sure what it was about,” she sang. “’Cause we come from the same home, same blood.”
“People ask me how you’re doing / I wanna say amazing, but the truth is that I don’t know,” Hilary continued in the chorus. “What I always end up saying is how … We don’t talk, we don’t talk about it / We don’t talk about anything anymore.”
The song is an indication that Hilary is extending an olive branch to Haylie, which could be the first step in reuniting the iconic duo.
