California Pediatrician Leases Facility to Planned Parenthood to Kill Babies

A local pediatrician has come under fire from pro-life activists for leasing property to Planned Parenthood for a proposed new health center in Fontana, which the group claims will serve as a major abortion facility.

The pro-life organization The Survivors highlighted Dr. Rene Salhab, owner of Children’s Choice Pediatrics with offices in Rancho Cucamonga and Upland, as the leaseholder for the property at the northeast corner of Sierra and San Bernardino avenues.

The group accuses Salhab of hypocrisy, asserting that while his practice cares for children, he is enabling the killing of unborn babies.

“While Children’s Choice Pediatrics is caring for children, Rene is helping Planned Parenthood kill his future clients,” The Survivors stated in an email to LifeNews.com.

The organization said some of Salhab’s patients contacted them after learning of the lease, expressing horror and claiming it violates the Hippocratic Oath.

Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties submitted a permit application to lease the site in 2023, according to The Survivors, following campaign donations from the organization to local officials. The project faced prolonged delays due to local opposition and city permitting issues, with the permit put on hold for nearly two years.

In April 2025, state legislation AB 2085 mandated cities to approve permits for healthcare facilities, allowing the project to move forward after nearly three years of community resistance.

The Survivors described the facility as a “new abortion mega center” with the potential to “kill thousands of innocent lives” and claimed stopping it could significantly impact Planned Parenthood’s operations in Southern California. The group urged supporters to call Salhab’s offices at (909) 466-7337 to demand he revoke the lease, pray for a change of heart, and join an upcoming rally.

It announced a partnership with The White Rose Resistance for a demonstration on Saturday, February 21, starting at 10:00 a.m. at 8112 Milliken Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga — the address of Salhab’s Rancho Cucamonga pediatric office.

The Survivors emphasized that the fight continues, stating, “But the fight is not over yet, because God is on our side,” and called on participants to “take a stand for the preborn.”

The Survivors noted Salhab is affiliated with local hospitals including Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and San Antonio Regional Hospital.
