Meta earnings updates: Wall Street is focused on AI capex heading into Q4 results

Meta Platforms is gearing up to report its fourth-quarter results and all eyes are on its ambitious AI plans, specifically its outlook for more capex spending in the coming year.
Some Wall Street analysts say the Facebook parent's updates on AI infrastructure spending could overshadow other areas of its results, such as growth in its ad business.
Meta will report earnings after the closing bell, and will hold a call with analysts around 4:30 p.m. ET.
