25-ft-long Bryde’s whale skeleton to be preserved at Bhitarkanika
The forest department will preserve the skeleton of a 25-foot-long Bryde's whale found at Devi river mouth. The skeleton will be displayed at the natural history museum in Dangamal. Wildlife biologist Siba Prasad Parida is overseeing the preservation process. Samples have been collected for species identification and health analysis. This initiative aims to attract more tourists to Bhitarkanika National Park.
