‘In a few months’: Brewer promises free beer the day Trump dies, Secret Service takes notice
The owner of a brewing company in Wisconsin is promising free beer for everyone on the day President Trump dies, “when it happens in a few months,” and the statement has not gone unnoticed by the U.S. Secret Service.
Blaze Media reports that Kirk Bangstad, owner of Minocqua Brewing Company and the treasurer of a federal super PAC of the same name, has had a long history of vociferously opposing the president and his supporters.
For instance, Bangstad – who was ordered to pay a six-figure sum for defamation in 2023 and was charged with harassment last year – stated, “F**k Charlie Kirk,” in a post the day after the Turning Point USA founder’s assassination and wrote weeks later, “May his soul never find peace.”
It was Bangstad’s post on his company’s Facebook page that raised a few eyebrows: “Free beer, all day long, the day [Trump] dies. Show us this post when it happens in a few months and we’ll make good on that promise.”
The brewer subsequently told Fox News that he’d be throwing a “party celebrating the impending death of a twice-impeached convicted felon.”
Blaze Media reached out to the Secret Service about the Jan. 22 post and was told, “The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the social media post by the Minocqua Brewing Company. Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence.”
