'Landman’ Star Ali Larter Reveals What Filming Her Bikini Scenes Is Really Like

Thanks to the massive successes of Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown, and Tulsa King, among others, it seems like everyone in Hollywood should want to star in a Taylor Sheridan show. Thankfully for Ali Larter, she gets to do exactly that as Landman's Angela Norris. However, Larter has revealed how she really feels while filming some of her most talked-about scenes from the show.

Ali Larter Says Her 'Landman' Bikini Scenes Were Her 'Least Favorite' to Film

In January 2026, Ali Larter, 49, spoke to People about her Landman character often appearing in bikinis on the show. While discussing how she really feels about filming those revealing scenes, Larter called it "tough, in a weird way." The actor then admitted how challenging she finds filming those revealing scenes.

"Those are the hardest for me. I don't enjoy them. It's just part of the story that I'm telling, and I'm an actress, so I get on board. But those are definitely my least favorite."

While reflecting on her Landman character, Larter described Angela Norris as someone who is "so physical and loves the spray tans, and the blonde." Larter then opened up about her personal internal battle when preparing to shoot bikini scenes.

"But no matter what, it's like, I've got to spend all this time fighting off my own insecurities, my own anxiety, to be able to put on that bikini and walk into these scenes." While talking to People, Later also remarked on knowing that other actors feel the same way she does about filming revealing scenes. "I don't think there's an actress alive that's like, 'Woo! Got a bikini scene!' Nobody wants to do it."

Ali Larter Described How She Stays in Shape for 'Landman'

When Ali Larter spoke to People about filming Landman bikini scenes in January 2026, she mentioned that those scenes involve more than the discomfort she feels in the moment. Instead, she brought up the fact that her job also requires "staying in shape for this role and all that comes with it." In a June 2025 Instagram post, Larter elaborated on what she goes through to be ready to film bikini scenes.

“I had to shoot a bikini scene for my show last week. Playing a character that is so comfortable in her body drives me. So here’s how I prep and what I eat for a day on set. Bed by 11pm and I take magnesium and gaba, wake at 5:30am. Celery juice and coffee and hit the gym by 6. I do a 30 minute intervals run and 10 minutes of core. Shower, dunk my face in ice water, slather with oil cause of my spray tan. Leave for work at 7am. Go through the works and blend out my tan. Another coffee, lemon water, eggs and Turkey bacon.”

Larter also revealed that after completing the physical preparations, she shifts her focus to embodying her Landman character. "Put on Angela’s diamond cross which is my suit of armor for this woman. 10 minutes of deep breathing to break down the BS I tell myself and redirect my energy to a calm, confident, and creative state while I look over my material.
