Eurobank expands cash-back rewards across Cyprus and Greece
Eurobank on Tuesday announced the launch of its upgraded €pistrofi rewards programme, reshaping cardholder benefits in Cyprus and Greece as part of a broader enhancement of its customer offering.
The bank said the former Blue card rewards programme has been renamed and enhanced under the €pistrofi brand, offering expanded benefits and a new banking experience to Eurobank cardholders.
The programme represents the extension of the Eurobank Group’s €pistrofi programme to Cyprus, building on a model already established in the Greek market.
Eurobank described the programme as pioneering, as it returns cash instead of points, rewarding every eligible transaction with euro-based €pistrofi.
The bank said €pistrofi is earned on purchases made in both Cyprus and Greece, whether in physical stores or online, at participating merchants.
Eurobank said the approach offers a single and unified rewards experience across borders, enhancing simplicity and transparency for customers.
The accumulated €pistrofi amount is pooled into one available balance, which can be redeemed in either country.
The bank said this structure provides real flexibility for customers and significantly enhances the value of every transaction.
In Cyprus, Eurobank said the programme includes more than 800 participating points of sale nationwide.
The network covers retail, dining, services, travel and tourism, addressing a wide range of everyday and lifestyle needs.
Participating businesses in Cyprus include IKEA, Sklavenitis supermarkets, Stephanis stores, McDonald’s, Leroy Merlin, Petrolina, Agip, Eni and Shell fuel stations, Beauty Line, Holland and Barrett, bakeries, travel agencies, SKY express and many others.
Eurobank said the cash-back rates remain unchanged from those offered under the previous Blue programme.
In Greece, the €pistrofi programme includes more than 8,500 points of sale, spanning an equally broad spectrum of businesses.
Participating merchants in Greece include IKEA, JUMBO, EKO fuel stations, Hondos Center, Attica, notos, Sklavenitis supermarkets, COSMOTE Telecom, GERMANOS, Fast Ferries, GOLDEN STAR FERRIES and many others.
Eurobank said all existing Blue programme cardholders are automatically and free of charge enrolled in the €pistrofi programme.
The bank said customers benefit from immediate cash credit for their purchases at participating merchants.
For purchases made at cooperating merchants in Greece, Eurobank said the €pistrofi rate is permanently set at 2 per cent.
The bank said the benefit for customers is simple, clear and immediately usable.
During selected periods such as Christmas, Easter and the summer season, Eurobank said the €pistrofi rate increases significantly.
The bank said this provides even greater rewards during high-spending periods.
Eurobank said €pistrofi is already the largest card rewards programme in Greece in terms of participating merchant network.
The programme currently serves millions of active users in the Greek market.
With its expansion to Cyprus, Eurobank said €pistrofi gains a strong cross-border character, responding to modern customer demands.
The bank said these demands centre on simplicity, transparency and immediate benefit.
Eurobank said further information about the €pistrofi rewards programme is available on its website.
