The 18th edition of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 will kick off in Indonesia, bringing together 16 national teams from across the continent.

Afghanistan’s national futsal team will open its campaign on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. local time, facing Saudi Arabia in a crucial Group D encounter.

Afghanistan have been drawn into a challenging group alongside regional powerhouse Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia, making qualification a demanding task.

This marks Afghanistan’s second appearance at the AFC Futsal Asian Cup, reflecting steady progress in the country’s futsal development in recent years.
