Twelve arrested in Limassol brawl
Police on Monday night proceeded with the arrest of twelve suspects after a brawl broke out in the Ayia Zoni area of Limassol.
The officers arrived at the scene at 9pm, where they found bloodstains along a bloodstained piece of iron and a pair of shoes, before locating the twelve suspects in a nearby apartment.
Among the group was an 18-year-old man who appeared to have sustained injuries to his head, legs and other body parts.
The examinations later revealed that two more people had been injured in the brawl.
All three were subsequently admitted to Limassol general hospital for further treatment.
A later search of the apartment revealed two cricket bats bearing bloodstains, which were seized as evidence.
All twelve suspects were arrested to facilitate the investigation, after arrest warrants were issued against them. The Limassol police have launched an investigation into the case.
