Amy Madigan Opens Up About Her 40+ Year Marriage to Ed Harris

Amy Madigan and Ed Harris have been in love for a very long time.

The 75-year-old Weapons actress and the 75-year-old Pollock actor tied the knot back in 1983, and they’ve been married for over 40 years.

When asked about their romance, Amy opened up about how their marriage works.

“We just love each other and we work really hard at that and in our work,” she told People, adding they “don’t have” a trick to making it work.

She also opened up about her now Oscar nominated role as Aunt Gladys in Weapons, and what her husband thought of the role.

“He loved it. He’s known me a long time and he saw all the parts of myself melded into Aunt Gladys. So, I have a very supportive family, my daughter also, so I’m very lucky,” she said.

The two have a 32-year-old daughter, Lily.

As for her family’s support, she said: “They’re just saying, ‘You can do it. Hang in there.’ I’m like, ‘I don’t want to get hair and makeup done again,’ and they’re like, ‘It’s okay.’”
