Roma star Koné ruled out for a month with muscle injury
Roma star Manu Koné has been diagnosed with a second-degree muscle strain, which will reportedly force him to the sidelines for a month.
Roma will have to cope without French midfielder Koné for circa one month as exams undergone by the 24-year-old on Monday highlighted a second-degree muscle strain in his right thigh, as reported by several Italian sources, including Sky Sport Italia.
Roma star Koné injured against Milan
Koné was forced to be subbed off during a 1-1 draw against Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday night.
Koné has grabbed two goals and one assist in 29 appearances across all competitions with Roma this term.
The Frenchman moved to the Stadio Olimpico in the summer of 2024 in an €18m deal from Borussia Monchengladbach.
Roma fight for Champions League spot
Roma’s 1-1 draw against Milan on Sunday left the Giallorossi sitting 3rd in the Serie A standings, nine points below table leaders Inter.
The Giallorossi are level on 43 points with Napoli, with fifth-placed Juventus following closely, just one point below.
