Tyreek Hill Comments On Patriots Super Bowl Berth
The New England Patriots will face the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX, and Tyreek Hill commented on them securing their spot.
“Patriots in the Super Bowl happy for them,” Hill wrote on X after the Patriots’ 10-7 win over the Denver Broncos.
Hill obviously plays for the Patriots’ division rival, the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins have missed the playoffs for the last two seasons, and moved on from Mike McDaniel after their season ended.
Hill’s future with the Dolphins is up in the air. Over the course of the last year, Hill has made some cryptic comments in posts hinting that he wants out of Miami. Additionally, his contract situation opens the door for the team to move on.
“Hill is due $36 million in 2026, all of which is nonguaranteed,” wrote ESPN’s Bill Barnwell on Thursday. “There is a zero percent chance he’s going to play on that deal next season. He could theoretically return to the Dolphins on a reduced salary, but with Mike McDaniel fired, the Dolphins rebuilding and whatever happened at the end of 2024 leaving a bad taste in the organization’s mouth, it seems a safe bet that Hill has played his last snap in Miami. His options will depend on whether and when Hill is healthy enough to play.”
Hill suffered a season-ending leg injury last season, so there’s no guarantee he is the same player when he returns. However, teams should still be interested in him if he is made available.
He is an eight-time Pro Bowler, a five-time First-Team All-Pro and a Super Bowl champion. In 11 games against the Patriots, he has 928 yards and seven touchdowns, so the Patriots would not mind seeing him leave the division. He also had 42 yards against the Patriots in a playoff game.
