Jorgen Strand Larsen could start £40m striker merry-go-round that involves Tottenham
Jorgen Strand Larsen has decided where he wants to play his football, as Tottenham and a host of other clubs across Europe chase his signature.
After having a stellar debut Premier League season last term, Strand Larsen has struggled to find the back of the net for a struggling Wolves side this campaign.
However, that has seemingly not affected his stock much, with Tottenham among a whole host of sides chasing the 25-year-old striker.
Over recent days, it has emerged that Larsen is ready to exit the Molineux Stadium this month in search of a new challenge, and a new update has emerged over the striker’s preferred destination.
Tottenham target Jorgen Strand Larsen wants Premier League stay
A report in Sky Sports’ live transfer blog has revealed that the Norwegian international would prefer to move to another Premier League club if he is to leave Wolves this month.
This is despite the fact that clubs from all of the top five European leagues are showing interest in Strand Larsen.
Interestingly, though, this update does not mention Tottenham Hotspur as one of the contenders for the centre-forward’s signature.
Leeds United, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are mentioned as the three clubs that have made enquiries regarding the 25-year-old this month.
Some clubs put off by Wolves’ asking price for Larsen
Sky Sports back up what we have heard from other sources over recent days by stating that Wolves want £40m to let the striker go.
It is revealed that this price tag has put off Palace, who were exploring landing Larsen amidst the uncertainty over Jean-Philippe Mateta’s future. Ironically, Tottenham are also linked with Mateta.
Aston Villa are also admirers of the former Celta Vigo man, but they too cannot afford Wolves’ asking price, which is why they turned their attention to Tammy Abraham instead.
Tottenham are reportedly willing to sell their own striker Richarlison this summer, while Randal Kolo Muani seems unlikely to remain at Spurs.
