Kate Accused of Using George to ‘Snub’ Camilla Amid Their ‘Nuclear’ Feud—She ‘Won’t Back Down’
Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla’s feud is getting more and more dramatic, and the latest report involves the Princess of Wales’ eldest son, Prince George.
A source told Radar Online in a report published on January 16 that Kate has “limited informal contact” between George, whom she shares with her husband Prince William, and Camilla to keep him closer to his immediate family. “There has been a conscious effort to keep George close to his parents and the Middleton side of the family,” the insider said. “That has meant limiting informal contact with Camilla. It’s being interpreted in some circles as a snub, but those close to Kate see it as protective and intentional.”
The source continued, “Kate is fiercely focused on controlling her children’s environment. Given the tension she feels toward Camilla, she is far more comfortable reinforcing George’s bond with William and her own parents. George follows that lead, and at his age, that alignment speaks volumes.”
Another insider also explained why Kate trusts her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, more with George than William’s father, King Charles, and his stepmother, Camilla. “Carole has always been a grounding presence for George,” the source said. “Kate trusts her implicitly, and that trust doesn’t extend in the same way to Camilla. George’s comfort with his granny reflects where Kate feels safest.”
Kate and William welcomed George in 2013. They also share daughter Princess Charlotte, born in 2015, and son Prince Louis, born in 2018. Radar Online’s source also explained how George’s recent appearance at Sandringham on Christmas Day 2025 highlights his future as a working royal. “He displayed a quiet confidence and maturity. It’s crazy to think that he’ll be a teenager when he does this next year,” the insider said.
News of George and Camilla comes after Radar Online published another report on January 3 claiming that Kate and the queen’s feud has become “nuclear,” especially after the drama involving Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. “The situation with the Yorks has drained everyone involved, and Kate is no exception,” the source said, adding that Kate and Camilla’s “feud” has become “increasingly bitter.” “She has stood firmly behind William through months of fraught talks and hard choices, and it has weighed heavily on her, and left her in no mood to deal with Camilla. But things have reached such a height, the pair of them can barely bare to stay in the same room as one another.”
The insider claimed that Camilla is bitter at Kate for “hogging the limelight” during President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump’s State Visit to Buckingham Palace in late 2025. “She also hates that Kate is being talked up as Britain’s perfect future Queen when she still holds the crown,” the insider said. The source continued, “Whenever they share the same space, the tension is palpable. The atmosphere becomes strained and those around them can sense the unease immediately.”
