'Back at risk' - Fabrizio Romano reveals latest on Thomas Frank's Tottenham future
Fabrizio Romano has revealed whether Thomas Frank needs to be worried about being sacked following Tottenham’s 2-2 draw against Burnley.
It was reported ahead of Saturday’s clash that Frank was still in danger of being sacked despite Tottenham’s win over Borussia Dortmund.
The Lilywhites needed to produce a good performance at Turf Moor to take some pressure off the Dane, but they once again lacked fluidity and looked devoid of creativity.
In the end, Cristian Romero’s late equaliser ensured that the North Londoners salvaged a point, but it may not be enough to keep Frank in the job.
Thomas Frank is back in the firing line after Tottenham’s draw at Burnley
Romano has now revealed that the former Brentford boss’s situation improved following the Champions League win in midweek, but his situation has now become ‘complicated’ after Tottenham’s 2-2 draw yesterday.
The journalist suggested that the Spurs hierarchy is expected to have a busy week, which is set to include a decision on Frank’s future.
Romano said on his YouTube channel: “A complicated situation again for Thomas Frank after the win against Dortmund softened a bit of pressure; now he is back at risk. Let’s see what is going to happen for the future of Thomas Frank.
“Of course, it’s going to be a busy, busy week – the last week of the transfer window and Tottenham to decide on their manager. Many things to assess in the near future.”
Spurs fans have made their feelings clear on Frank
The Tottenham fans chanted ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’ to Frank following the loss at home against West Ham last week.
The travelling Spurs fans broke into the chorus after the final whistle at Turf Moor, making it clear what they feel about the current situation.
While the Tottenham top brass are seemingly yet to make up their mind on the Danish coach, it appears that the majority of the fan base have already given up on the 52-year-old and the current project.
