Fiorentina pay tribute to President Rocco Commisso
There were emotional tributes at the Stadio Artemio Franchi today for Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso, including a special jersey in his honour.
The patron passed away after a long illness last week and his funeral was held in New York, but there will be a mass in Florence on Monday too.
Hosting Cagliari represents the first home match for the Tuscans since the news and it was therefore their opportunity to pay tribute to the patron.

There was a large banner depicting art of the President’s face blowing kisses to the crowd, placed over the centre-circle before kick-off, with players from the youth academy holding white roses around it.
A video was played on the screens of the Stadio Artemio Franchi remembering his time at the club, focusing on the inauguration of the state of the art Viola Park training centre, his greatest gift to the future of the team.
It was organised by his right-hand man Joe Barone, who died in March 2024 of a heart attack.
