Jaime King Breaks Silence on Divorce, Says She Was 'Blindsided' by Husband Austin Sosa's Divorce Filing

Jaime King is speaking out after her second husband, Austin Sosa, filed for divorce.

The divorce filing came as a surprise for fans as it was never publicly announced that Jaime and Austin got married.

Us Weekly reports that they “got married in secret sometime before the Christmas holiday.” Austin filed for divorce on January 22.

In a new statement, Jaime says that she was “blindsided” by the divorce filing.

“I was completely blindsided by the divorce filing, which came out of nowhere,” Jaime told Us Weekly. “I was with Austin the night before it became public, and while like many marriages we had normal challenges, I genuinely believed we were working on our relationship.”

In response to false rumors that she was having an affair with hotelier Vikram Chatwal, Jaime added, “Any recent interactions being referenced publicly were strictly professional business meetings and have no connection to this private matter.”

Jaime concluded, “My focus right now is my work and, above all, my children. This is deeply personal and should remain private, and I hope people will stop making assumptions, particularly ones that unfairly and disproportionately scrutinize women simply for doing their jobs.”

Jaime was previously married to director Kyle Newman and they settled their contentious divorce battle in September 2023, three years after their split.
