Official Guaita: Ex-Crystal Palace keeper terminates Parma contract after just two months
Vicente Guaita has terminated his contract with Parma by mutual consent after just two months at the Stadio Tardini.
Spanish goalkeeper Guaita has left Parma after just two months at the club.
Official: Guaita leaves Parma
Parma confirmed Guaita’s exit with an official statement on Friday.
The 39-year-old moved to the Stadio Tardini on a free transfer on November 22, 2025, following a serious injury to the Ducali’s starting goalkeeper, Zion Suzuki.
Guaita was not under contract with any club in November, so he was available as a free agent and signed a deal until the end of the season.
Why Guaita left Parma after just two months
A former goalkeeper for Celta Vigo and Crystal Palace, Guaita was expected to replace Suzuki during the Japanese’s spell on the sidelines, but 24-year-old Edoardo Corvi was instead chosen as the starting man between the sticks over the last two months.
Corvi kept three clean sheets in nine Serie A matches, conceding eight goals.
Guaita, on the other hand, made just one appearance for Parma in a 2-1 Coppa Italia Round of 16 loss to Bologna.
Parma wished Guaita “the best of luck for the continuation of his professional career.”
