Exclusive: International teammate says Mohammed Kudus is destined for 'bigger club' than Tottenham
Tottenham have a few exciting players in their ranks, but one has been hyped up by his teammate at international level, while a warning has been sent to the Lilywhites.
Admittedly, the days of world-class talent being on display at Tottenham are gone. Harry Kane and Heung-min Son’s departures saw to that.
Still, there are enough high-level players in Thomas Frank’s squad to suggest that Spurs could and should be performing a lot better and competing for trophies consistently.
Indeed, summer signing Mohammed Kudus has been hailed as a top player by one of his Ghana teammates, and he’s even suggested the Tottenham man could move on to even bigger things.
Tottenham star Mohammed Kudus hyped up
Mohammed Kudus’ Ghana teammate Emmanuel Gyasi exclusively told The Spurs Web: “He’s [Kudus] one of the best players that I’ve ever played with, but the most important thing about him is he’s a top, top guy….he’s a special person who’s very humble.
“He’s a massively talented player. No disrespect to Tottenham, which is a great club, but for me, he’s a player who can play in the top teams and the top leagues. I’ve never seen anybody with his quality. For me, he has the talent to play in all the big teams in Europe.”
Obviously, Kudus has only just arrived at Tottenham and has a contract that runs right through to 2031. There’s no way he’s going anywhere any time soon, even if Gyasi seems to think his friend is ready to step up.
Spurs are really missing Kudus right now
Kudus had an electric start to his Spurs career, registering three goals and six assists before injury hampered his progress.
Tottenham will be without Kudus until after the March international break, and you can really tell Frank’s side are lacking that energy and creativity.
Granted, Kudus went six league games without a goal contribution before that injury struck, but there’s no denying his impact. He’s the kind of player who makes things happen, who constantly looks to progress the ball and take people on, and without him, Tottenham just lack any sense of urgency or potency.
Hopefully, the Lilywhites can sign another winger to inject that kind of attacking flair into the squad. Otherwise, it’ll be a long wait until Kudus is back.
