Union Minister Nitin Gadkari unveiled a Rs 213-crore ropeway project connecting Kamakhya railway station to the temple, slashing travel time from 20 to just 6 minutes. This 1.43 km initiative, part of the Parvatmala programme, will daily transport over 16,500 passengers, promoting eco-friendly travel, easing congestion, and boosting tourism and local jobs.
