Donald Trump isn’t ready to leave the White House after his second term.
The 79-year-old president has repeatedly hinted at plans to run for a third term in office, despite acknowledging that the Constitution bans a president from serving more than twice.

“RECORD NUMBERS ALL OVER THE PLACE! SHOULD I TRY FOR A FOURTH TERM?” the president wrote on Truth Social.
His post came hours after a newly published New York Times/Sienna University poll showed that his approval rating had dipped to 40%, with only 25% of participants saying that they strongly approved of his actions.
Per the poll, 56% of participants did not approve of Trump‘s behaviors. Of that total, 47% strongly disapproved of his handling of the presidency.
The New York Times noted that his approval rating had risen above 50% when he returned to office in January 2025, suggesting that his approval rating had dropped by more than 10% in his first year.
After the poll’s results were published, Trump took to Truth Social to blast them, writing, “The Times Siena Poll, which is always tremendously negative to me, especially just before the Election of 2024, where I won in a Landslide, will be added to my lawsuit against The Failing New York Times.”
He continued, writing, “Our lawyers have demanded that they keep all Records, and how they ‘computed’ these fake results — Not just the fact that it was heavily skewed toward Democrats. They will be held fully responsible for all of their Radical Left lies and wrongdoing!”
Trump posts come after he sparked some concerns about his health, which the White House addressed.
