David Pastrnak’s Three-Point Night Helps Bruins To Big Win Over Golden Knights
The Boston Bruins picked up a big 4-3 home win over the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday.
Boston was coming off a blowout loss to the Dallas Stars in their last game, but on Thursday, the team started well. Boston led 3-0 after the first period, and 4-0 after two, as the Bruins cruised to a lopsided win.
The Bruins were led by David Pastrnak, who had a goal and two assists. Pastrank credited the fans for getting the team amped up to start strong.
“We were direct, and it went in today,” Pastrank said on Thursday, as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “Big two goals. Obviously, that sets up the confidence and the game when we can help out the team with two goals right away.
“We’ve been playing some good hockey in this building. The fans are behind us, so just have to keep building on that.”
Boston’s head coach, Marco Sturm, meanwhile, was pleased with how the team played after a blowout loss in its last game.
“I think we just had the right attitude,” Sturm said. “We touched on a few things from the Dallas game; we just didn’t like the game, how it went and how it turned out.
“I think overall, guys just showed up today, and they wanted to prove anyone wrong that that’s not our game. We’re better than that.”
With the win, the Bruins are 29-20-2 and holding onto the final wild card spot. Boston will return to the ice on Saturday at home against the Montreal Canadiens.
