Wi-Fi not showing up in the Windows System tray? Here’s the fix
If your Wi-Fi isn’t showing up in the System tray then you can’t connect to the internet. But there is a simple trick that you can use to make it show up. You just have to enable WLAN Auto Config in Services.
WLAN Auto Config allows your PC to configure, discover, connect to and disconnect from a wireless local area network. It also contains the logic to turn your computer into a software access point so that other devices or computers can connect to your computer wirelessly using a WLAN adapter.
What to do:
- To enable WLAN Auto Config, click on the Search icon and type Services.
- Locate WLAN Auto Config and click on it. Now click on Start the service.
- Notice that the Wi-Fi icon is now active and you can now access the internet.
