The integration of Paraswimming and ice swimming into European Aquatics was high on the agenda for EA President Antonio Silva when he attended the recent Czech Aquatics and Czech Water Polo Federation Best Swimmer Awards 2025 in Prague.
President Silva discussed the topic at length with Czech Paralympic Committee President and Czech Olympic Committee Vice President Zbynek Sykora, who explained how Parasport had been integrated in Czechia, involving the successful inclusion of Paraswimming into Czech Aquatics.
Sykora and Czech Aquatics President Jakub Tesarek organised a meeting with Czech Paralympic Committee President and Czech Olympic Committee Vice President Zbynek Sykora.
Sykora and Czech Aquatics president Jakub Tesarek expressed their support for the inclusion of Paraswimming into European Aquatics and World Aquatics as fast as possible and pledged help in the process.

During his attendance he presented the award for Best Swimmer 2025 to Barbora Seemanova, who was fifth in the 200m freestyle at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore.
While in Prague the EA President took the opportunity to visit the Plavecky stadion Podoli, which includes indoor and outdoor long course pools and a diving pool.
