'Summer House' Star Kyle Cooke Breaks Silence on Amanda Batula Split, Reveals Where They Stand
Kyle Cooke is speaking out for the first time since it was announced he and wife Amanda Batula broke up.
The longtime Summer House couple have had their ups and downs on the Bravo show, starting from season one, and announced their split earlier this week.
In a new street interview shared to TikTok, Kyle addressed the couple’s breakup, how it started and where they stand today.

“When the timing’s right, people will be surprised but happy to see that Amanda and I are in a good spot,” he told TikToker and comedian Adam Glyn. “Obviously, the internet’s gonna do its thing, but we literally pushed send together when we posted that. I’ve been in talks with her the whole week.”
“It’s a lot to swallow when your entire relationship from the very, very beginning was on TV. We knew it wasn’t gonna be easy,” Kyle went on. “There’s still a lot of love. It’s both the hard part, but also, it’s making this easier for the both of us.”
He then addressed their living situation and confirmed that the rumors last year of them living separately were, in fact, true.
“We have separated. It started as living separately and people kind of picked up on that,” he said. “It was the worst-kept secret, but we just weren’t ready to talk about it.”
Kyle also addressed if their announcement was pushed by Bravo as the new season of Summer House is about to premiere, and he said, “No, that was just us. It’s a tough topic, right? We’re gonna get asked a thousand questions about our relationship based on the trailer, so we decided to rip the band-aid off.”
He also noted that their split or separation came after talking about trying to figure out how to give their relationship the best shot, and ultimately, that wasn’t together as a couple.
“We decided we don’t wanna give each other false hope. We don’t wanna give our friends and family false hope. We don’t wanna give fans false hope.”

“There’s no playbook,” Kyle added. “We were very much on the same page, where we knew we needed to create some space. We knew things had been tough. People have seen it. This is not some big surprise.”
As for where their relationship stands today, they’re still on good terms.
“This isn’t a big breakup where there’s a smoking gun or there’s a lot of hate,” Kyle dished. “There’s absolutely a lot of frustration. I’ve done things, she’s done things, but we’ve got each other’s back. We care about each other. We still love each other. So, in a world where it makes sense to both film Summer House again, we’d film Summer House.”
“I just hope that we both find happiness, whatever that looks like,” Kyle said.
