Kate Middleton Reveals Daughter Princess Charlotte Has ‘A Lot’ of This Item in Her Room — & It Reminds Us She’s Just a Regular Kid
She may be a real-life princess, but Kate Middleton and Prince William’s daughter Princess Charlotte, 10, is just like any other kid. The Princess of Wales revealed that her daughter has “a lot” of this one item in this house — and as a mom myself, this doesn’t surprise me at all.
During a recent visit to Scotland, William and Middleton visited a former mining village. At the visit, Middleton spoke to a 70-year-old woman named Adele Hodgson, who sells her crocheted items to raise money for a local hospice. Hodgson gave Middleton a crochet bunny she made for Charlotte, which Middleton said will go nicely with her daughter’s collection of stuffed animals.
“She will absolutely love that,” Middleton said, per Hello! “She’s got lots of teddies on her bed. Well done, that must have taken a long time. Thank you so much.”
Lots of teddies on her bed? It sounds just like my kids, age 8, 6, and 3. My 6-year-old in particular can hardly move at night with so many plush toys and stuffed animals crowding his bed. We can’t help but wonder what kind of stuffies she has — classic teddy bears? Paddington bears? Squishmallows or Labubus? Probably some of each, if we had to guess!
In addition to plush toys, Princess Charlotte always loves crafting. In an October visit to the Home-Start centre in Oxford, someone who visited with Middleton at the event later gave Hello! an insight into their conversation. “Kate was saying [that] Charlotte enjoys the outdoors and doing activities, and making things,” Mariam Namakula said.
One of those activities is making friendship bracelets, some of which she wore to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour concert.
She may get a lot of cool opportunities as a royal, but at the end of the day, it seems like Princess Charlotte has the same interests and hobbies as many other kids her age, and we love that for her!
