I Was Skeptical of Charlie Sheen’s Nonalcoholic Beer. Here's My Honest Review of Wild AF Cold Gold
I honestly wasn’t sure if I’d like Charlie Sheen’s nonalcoholic beer Wild AF Cold Gold. Could Sheen—who isn’t exactly famous for his discerning palate when it comes to alcohol—be trusted to put out a high-quality product?
Well, when I cracked open a can of his cheekily named golden lager-like beer that references his role in the smash hit Major League, I was pleasantly surprised.

The beer was downright quaffable and paired perfectly with a range of foods. If you hadn’t told me it was nonalcoholic, I wouldn’t have noticed. I’ll credit its drinkability to the fact that Sheen partnered with New England craft beer pioneers Harpoon Brewery. It took them about two years to dial in the flavor, which was built around Sheen’s personal preference and designed to be the ultimate ballpark beer. Their hard work certainly paid off.
While in the past, I've found some nonalcoholic brews to be light on flavor, Wild AF Cold Gold is crisp with plenty of citrusy and toasted malt notes. The finish is long without becoming overly bitter. It's pretty impressive since there are only 68 calories per can.
Wild AF Cold Gold is currently only available from the brand's website and costs $14 for a 6-pack.
