DGP asks marine police to patrol 16 uninhabited islands
Odisha is enhancing coastal security. Marine police will regularly patrol 16 uninhabited islands. This initiative aims to deter infiltration and monitor suspicious activities. The state government has allocated Rs 149 crore for modernization. This includes an advanced command centre, CCTV surveillance at fish landing centres, and upgraded marine police stations. Drones will be deployed at all marine police stations.
