London and South East Regional Women’s Premier League, played on Wednesday 21st January 2026.
Darts Women headed to Mayesbrook Park on Wednesday night, the home of Barking FC Women, looking to kick on after Sunday’s success against Ebbsfleet Utd Women in the Kent Cup.
The visitors began the game on the front foot and had a couple of half chances early on. In the 11th minute, Lizzie Adams volleyed a bouncing ball into the path of Shauni Griffiths. The Darts forward headed towards goal, but it went over the crossbar.
The team continued to create chances as the half went on and went close again midway through the half. In the 19th minute, Mya Lewis-Powell crossed to find Paris Smith in the box, however the chance was headed straight at the keeper.
The home side’s best chance in the first period came in the 23rd minute, Miquellah Meade’s shot on goal was blocked by Abbey Davies. The Darts went close again to getting the opening goal of the game 7 minutes before the half time break. In the 38th minute, a well worked set piece from the Darts, saw a deep cross from Abbey Davies headed goal-bound by Mercedes Bromfield. The header went past the post and it was level at the break.
The visitors continued to search for the opening goal in the early stages of the second half. In the 60th minute, Mya Lewis-Powell shot from a tight angle, but the shot looped over the Barking crossbar.
Darts continued to win the ball in key areas of the pitch and nearly went ahead late on. In the 82nd minute, the high press from the Darts forced a mistake from the Barking keeper. The ball fell to Darts forward Paris Smith, although the shot went wide of the post.
The home side continued to frustrate the Darts in the final minutes and had their own chance to win it late on. In the 84th minute, Miquellah Meade broke through the Darts defence, however Darts keeper Jade Charlton was out quickly to block the shot on goal.
