Chris Noth Details Friendship with Sarah Jessica Parker Ending After He Was Accused of Sexual Assault

Chris Noth is looking back at his friendship with Sarah Jessica Parker ending after he was accused of sexual assault.

Shortly after …And Just Like That premiered in 2021, Chris, 71, was accused of sexual assault, which he has vehemently denied. After the allegations were made public, SJP, 60, and fellow Sex and the City co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis released a joint statement supporting the alleged victims.

In a new interview, Chris admitted that not hearing from SJP at that time was “hurtful” and ultimately ended their friendship.

Keep reading to find out more…“We’re not friends,” Chris said of SJP in a teaser clip for the Monday, January 26, episode of the Really Famous With Kara Mayer Robinson podcast, per People. “I think that’s pretty obvious.”

“The statement that they put out — which was nothing more than brand management, really — I don’t know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising,” he continued. “Because you need to call me and hear my side of this. You’ve known me for many years, and we’ve worked [together] for many years.”

In addition to the statement, SJP, Cynthia, 59, and Kristin, 51, distanced themselves from Chris, who was ultimately fired from …And Just Like That following the allegations.

Chris went on to say that the move from SJP and the other ladies was “more Hollywood than Hollywood,” adding that he wishes they reached out to hear his side of the story.

“But before you make that statement, you know me, you’ve known me all these years, give me a call so I can give you the real scoop about this,” he said. “And that didn’t happen, and that was too bad.”

He went on to say that there was “something gained” and “something lost” from the fallout, explaining, “What’s gained is good. You know where people stand and you know who your real friends are and who they’re not. That’s important to know. I just know if it had been on the other foot, I wouldn’t have done that.”

Chris also noted that if SJP were in a similar situation, he would have “absolutely” reached out to hear her “side.”

“That was hurtful, and it really affected everything,” Chris said, seemingly referring to his abrupt exit from …And Just Like That.
