The Masked Singer is back!
A new episode of season 14 of the hit FOX singing competition series aired on Wednesday night (January 21).
The show, which began in South Korea, features celebrities singing songs while wearing costumes and face masks concealing their identities until they’re eliminated. Throughout the season, the contestants provide clues to try and help the judges and fans figure out who is under the mask.
This season’s contestants boast a combined total of 94 million records sold, 21 platinum singles, 3 Emmy Award victories, 3 Hall of Famers, 3 World Series wins, and 54 million Instagram followers.
During the episode, Scarab hit the stage for a performance of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper.

Based on the clues, we’re pretty sure Taraji P. Henson is under the Scarab mask. She famously starred alongside Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, for which she was nominated for her first Oscar nomination. She has also publicly spoken about being a Prince superfan. Throughout her career, Taraji has won countless awards, including a Critics Choice award, a Golden Globe, a SAG award, six BET awards, and 14 NAACP Image awards. The golden lion and all of the cookie clues can be a reference to her iconic role as Cookie Lyon in Empire. The rocket toy can be a reference to her role in Hidden Figures. Taraji‘s dad died in 2006, two years before she was nominated for her Oscar.
