Patriots’ First AFC Championship Injury Report Features Uncomfortable Trend
The New England Patriots typically don’t have any problem handing out off days, particularly on Wednesday.
Harold Landry III (knee) and Marte Mapu (hip) missed practice prior to the AFC Championship. Christian Elliss (hip), Thayer Munford Jr. (knee), Morgan Moses (rest) and Hunter Henry (rest) were not seen during the media access portion, either — but don’t fret!
New England has given each of those players days off throughout the last several weeks, and things won’t change entering its matchup with the Denver Broncos.
Carlton Davis (concussion) did practice, though his status seemingly is the only one that is currently up in the air. Davis is currently in phase four of the league’s return-to-participation protocol and could clear it as soon as Friday.
Bo Nix, who fractured his ankle in a divisional round victory over the Buffalo Bills, missed practice for Denver.
