Donald Trump Earns Over $1 Billion Profit During First Year of 2nd Presidency (Report)
Donald Trump is reportedly raking in money during his second presidency.
The 79-year-old President of the United States has made well over a billion dollars over the past year in his second term, so far, per a New York Times report.
To note, a sitting President reportedly only makes $400,000 a year as their salary.

The New York Times reports that he earned $1,408,500,000 since returning to office just one year ago.
“We know this number to be an underestimate because some of his profits remain hidden from public view. And they continue to grow,” the publication wrote.
NYT states his earnings come from more than 20 overseas projects, including a hotel in Oman, an office tower in western India and a golf course on the outskirts of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In addition, Trump has profited from settlements with media and tech companies, totaling $90.5 million, and they received $28 million for the Melania documentary from Amazon.
In December 2024, Donald reached a settlement of $15 million with ABC News in a defamation lawsuit, with the money being given to “a Presidential foundation and museum to be established by or for plaintiff, as presidents of the United States of America have established in the past.”
Last September, he also reached a settlement of $24.5 million with YouTube over suspending his account after the insurrection of MAGA supporters at the Capitol in January of 2021.
Other lawsuits Donald Trump has settled include X/Twitter, Meta and Paramount.
Trump has also reportedly gained $867 million through cryptocurrencies, with a United Arab Emirates-backed investment firm pledging a $2 billion deposit into a Trump firm.
“All told, Mr. Trump has profited from his return to the presidency by an amount of money equal to 16,822 times the median U.S. household income,” reports The Times.
Trump recently shared a map that seemingly suggests his plans for the US to expand into three foreign territories, including his much-talked about Greenland acquisition and Venezuela, which he has said the US is operating after capturing the country’s own President.
