Planned Parenthood Will Spend Millions for Abortions Up to Birth in Virginia

Well, as expected when the progressive Democrats took full control of Richmond, they quickly passed legislation last week that will place an unlimited abortion clause in the Virginia Constitution.

The Constitutional Amendment on abortion will now go to a statewide vote in November and if passed, Virginia would join states like New York, California and Vermont where their extreme abortion laws are enshrined in their constitutions.

Planned Parenthood and other left-wing, pro-abortion groups will now spend millions to influence voters in Virginia to support this drastic change to our constitution. We Must Fight Back!

Virginia has seen the greatest rise in abortion procedures in the country since the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The Commonwealth is the number one abortion state in the South.

Our state has become a “regional haven” according to the abortion extremists who now want to ensure that anyone, of any age (this amendment has no parental notification whatsoever) can receive an abortion at any time.

On Friday, the bishops leading Virginia’s two Roman Catholic dioceses, Bishop Michael Burbidge of the Diocese of Arlington and Bishop Barry Knestout of the Diocese of Richmond, released a statement (HERE) condemning the “extreme abortion amendment.”

As the bishops relayed: “The extreme abortion amendment, which will proceed to a referendum for voters to decide later this year, would go far beyond even what Roe v. Wade previously allowed. It would enshrine virtually unlimited abortion at any stage of pregnancy, with no age restriction.

Among numerous other problems, it would severely jeopardize parental consent law, health and safety standards for women, conscience protections for healthcare providers, and restrictions on taxpayer-funded abortions.”

We need to FIGHT the abortion extremists and start NOW educating voters to vote NO when this constitutional amendment is placed on the ballot!
