'Formula 1: Drive to Survive' Gets Season 8 Premiere Date on Netflix
The 2026 F1 season is beginning with livery and suit reveals, which means a new season of Drive to Survive is also almost here!
Netflix has just unveiled the release date for the docuseries, which will give a behind-the-scenes look at the motor sport’s 2025 Formula 1 season.

Here’s a synopsis: Offering unprecedented access, this new season will once again take fans behind the scenes, to witness first-hand how the drivers and teams prepare to battle it out for the 2025 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The series will offer never-before-seen footage as we follow new team lineups, management takedowns, fierce friendships and bitter rivalries of another high-octane season on the Formula 1 circuit.
This season, we can expect to see the various driver changes at Red Bull, Racing Bulls and Alpine, plus the mid-season exit of Red Bull boss Christian Horner!
Drivers expected to be featured in some capacity include the full 2025 lineup – recently engaged Alex Albon, Carlos Sainz, Charles Leclerc, Esteban Ocon, Fernando Alonso, Franco Colapinto, Gabriel Bortoleto, George Russell, Isack Hadjar, Jack Doohan, Kimi Antonelli, Lance Stroll, Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton, Liam Lawson, Max Verstappen, Nico Hulkenberg, Oliver Bearman, Oscar Piastri, Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda.
Formula 1: Drive to Survive season eight is set to premiere on February 27th.
The 2026 F1 season will then officially kick off with the Australian Grand Prix on March 5th for the first practice session. See the full schedule here!
