'Tell Me Lies' Creator Reveals the Past Hints About Bree & Wrigley You Might've Missed & What to Expect in the Final 4 Episodes This Season

Tell Me Lies showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer is speaking about season 3, episode 4 and that big reveal about Bree (Cat Missal) and Wrigley (Spencer House).

If you did not see the episode and don’t mind spoilers: Bree and Wrigley have had some building chemistry throughout season three. It’s a bit strange though, as they’ve not really had much to do with one another in the past two seasons, and they’ve both been linked to other people. At the end of episode 4, it’s fully confirmed that Wrigley is the mystery caller who has been calling Bree, and is in love with her.

Now, Meaghan is speaking out about some hints you may have missed.

Apparently, in the background shots of Evan and Bree’s engagement party, there’s hints about Bree and Wrigley.

Meaghan told THR, “I’ve known for a while. If you look back at episode one, there are hints about Bree and Wrigley. And there are hints even in season two, at the engagement. Watch Bree and Wrigley in the background. There have always been hints.”

About the big reveal, she added, “You got to surprise people, and this audience is so hard to surprise. It is impossible to surprise them. My God, they are smart and they predict a lot of stuff. So we had to hide the ball.”

She also teased the final four episodes: “Buckle up. Just don’t predict anything because I don’t think you’re going to predict what’s going to happen, is what I would say. Episode six is a tearjerker, but I think episode eight [the finale] is actually quite funny. It’s a lot of things, but I think there is a lot of humor to it.”
