Italy's Brignone to be rested for Spindleruv Mlyn giant slalom
Brignone, 35, finished sixth in the giant slalom in Kronplatz, Italy on Tuesday, nine months after suffering a double leg break which seriously damaged her Olympic hopes.
Brignone and former Olympic downhill champion Sofia Goggia, 33, will sit out Saturday's giant slalom and Sunday's slalom in the Czech Republic.
"Both Sofia Goggia, who is currently training on speed, and Federica Brignone, who is continuing her full recovery after her successful return to competition in the Kronplatz giant slalom, are taking a break," FISI said.
The Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics opening ceremony takes place on February 6.
