OHSWEKEN SPEEDWAY ANNOUNCES FULL 2026 WEEKLY CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE
Ohsweken Speedway is set to deliver another unforgettable season of dirt track racing in 2026, with a schedule built around premier sprint car competition, marquee touring events, fan-favorite stock car classes, theme nights, and some of the most prestigious races north of the border!.
The 29th season at the famed 3/8-mile oval will open in May, following two Test and Tune sessions that allow teams across all divisions to prepare for the year ahead. Opening Night on May 15 will once again showcase one of the speedway’s most anticipated matchups, as UMP Modifieds go head-to-head with Canadian Modifieds alongside the weekly sprint car divisions.
May continues with a strong mix of competition and community engagement, including Truckers Night and Community Night, the latter highlighted by the return of the Empire Super Sprints, bringing elite sprint car talent to Ohsweken early in the season.
June ramps up both on-track intensity and fan interaction. Contractors Night kicks off the Fan Fest Series with a Super Heroes and Princesses Autograph Night, offering families a chance to meet their favorite drivers up close. The Southern Ontario Sprints make their return, followed by the always-emotional Art Hill Memorial. Agriculture Night closes out the month in a big way with the Great Lakes Super Sprints and ROC Sportsman adding depth and diversity to the program.
Summer action heats up in July, beginning with the Northeast Late Model Alliance and the Brock Leonard Memorial, while Vintage Cars add a nostalgic element to the program. The Summer Sprint Showcase, featuring the Action Sprint Tour and the ever-popular Bicycle Night, continues to be a staple of mid-season excitement. Fan Fest returns with Halloween in July before the spotlight turns squarely to Ohsweken for one of the biggest events of the year.
The Six Nations Showdown takes over the speedway on July 21 and 22, as the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars headline two massive midweek events, joined by Late Models on night one and Modifieds on night two. Following a brief pause during Pow Wow Weekend, the month concludes with the Gale’s Cash Blast 30, offering high stakes and hard racing.
August blends tradition with family-friendly fun. The Noelle Teal Memorial pays tribute with twin features for all classes, while Back Pack and Touch A Truck Night continues to be a favorite for younger fans. The Fan Fest Series wraps up with Christmas in August, before the Stirling Sportsman Shootout caps off the summer months.
Championship season arrives in September, starting with the Late Model Open and building toward Championship Friday, where track champions are crowned. The intensity escalates with national-level events, beginning with the Thunder Stocks and Mini Stocks Nationals along with a Sprint Car Test and Tune ahead of their biggest week. The 5th Northern Crate Sprint Car Nationals follow, leading into the season finale — the 22nd Northern Sprint Car Nationals, featuring the Action Sprint Tour.
With a balanced schedule that blends elite touring series, meaningful memorial races, and family-focused theme nights, Ohsweken Speedway’s 2026 season reinforces its reputation as the Dirt Capital of the North and a cornerstone of dirt racing in Ontario.
Additional event details, ticket information, and Kids Club activities will be announced throughout the season.
