‘Tense’ Tel situation at Tottenham amid Roma speculation and Frank uncertainty
Roma have sent offers to sign Mathys Tel and Radu Dragusin from Tottenham, but Spurs are unwilling to discuss loan moves, especially with their coach, Thomas Frank, on the brink.
Multiple sources in Italy claim that Roma want to bring Tel and Dragusin to the Stadio Olimpico.
Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided the latest updates on YouTube: “The situation is tense because Tel was omitted from the Tottenham Champions League squad.
Fabrizio Romano updates on Tel and Dragusin
“He’s not happy because he wants to be a starter in all games, as he hopes to play in the World Cup. He is open to leaving on loan, but Tottenham have not given the green light.
“If Tottenham agree to a loan move, many teams will send offers, and it will be tough for Italian clubs, also because there are teams that can grant 90 minutes per game to the player, like Paris FC.”
Romano adds that Thomas Frank’s situation in North London is also not helping the Giallorossi.
The Spurs coach is on the brink of sacking so if he leaves and a new manager arrives, the Dragusin and Tel situations might change.
Romano reports that, if Tottenham agree to loan moves for Dragusin and Tel, the Giallorossi would have more chances to welcome the ex-Genoa defender than the French winger.
Roma have been very busy in the January transfer window, having already signed Robinio Vaz from Olympique Marseille and Donyell Malen from Aston Villa.
The Giallorossi have also agreed to terminate Leon Bailey’s loan spell, so the Jamaica international is on his way back to Aston Villa.
