NJMP Introduces Karting Club Membership and Competition License in 2026

MILLVILLE, NJ (January 19, 2026) – New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) introduces a new membership program and competition license application for its operations and offerings at Tempest Raceway, the go-karting track of NJMP.

The Karting Club is a Go-Karting Membership designed for devoted drivers who regularly participate in NJMP Karting. Through the new program, drivers have the exclusive opportunity to develop their on-track skills through select discounted track offerings and community involvement.

“2025 was a great year for NJMP’s karting facility,” remarks Dakota Reed, NJMP Karting Manager, “And in that time, our team became aware of the important part that NJMP plays in the driver’s journey into motorsports and racing. Over the months, we were proud to welcome back repeat drivers to our Rental Kart Leagues and Endurance Races and watch their dedication to the craft. This program is them. For those who have a strong desire to advance in their motorsports journey.”

With the Karting Club, drivers will receive facility benefits such as:

• 10% discount on all leagues and endurance races
• $20 Arrive & Drive sessions all season long (subject to availability)
• Exclusive access to special events and course layouts
• Invitation to an exclusive NJMP Karting Club Discord community
• Invitation to an end-of-year banquet, catered by NJMP’s Finish Line Pub

 

The Karting Club represents the core of the rental karting ecosystem. They are trusted participants who understand expectations, respect the equipment and staff, and help set the tone for safe and competitive racing.

And in the theme of safety and operational success, NJMP is also implementing a Competition License program.

In 2026, all kart and bike owners will be required to obtain 2026 NJMP Karting Club Competition Credentials in order to participate in NJMP Competition Practice sessions.

The Competition License Program is designed for racers who wish to operate their own karts or bikes (600cc or less) during competition practices. All racers should be at least 17 years of age, unless they hold requisite experience, endorsements, or credentials from an accredited and sanctioned racing body.

The Karting Director will vet kart applicants. Bike applicants will undergo a review of their credentials from NJMP Riders Club, NJ Mini GP, ASRA, MotoAmerica, Yamaha Racing or California Superbike Schools.

This new process helps ensure a safe, competitive, and appropriately skilled environment for all participants.
