Dogbert is a mellow, loving goofball who has perfected the art of being a comforting presence. At 8 years old, he’s a big, gentle cuddle bug who adores naps, belly rubs, and quietly being near his people — whether that’s adults, kids, or guests coming through the door. He moves through life at his own easy pace, enjoys sniffy strolls and simple treat games, and brings a sweet mix of calm, silliness, and devotion that makes him an absolute joy to have around. Dogbert is waiting to meet his person at East Bay SPCA Dublin. Adopters over 65 can adopt this wonderful companion at no cost! The East Bay SPCA offers walk-in adoptions at its Oakland and Dublin campuses from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. For updated and real-time information on programs and offerings, visit eastbayspca.org/adoptions.

Meet Shellsea, our resident “scuba diver!” This 3-year-old Staffy mix is a regal lady with a silly side that only shines outside the loud shelter. Whether she’s jumping into a pool, winning at tug-of-war or enjoying a quiet stroll around Alameda, Shellsea is ALL joy. She’s house-trained, athletic and has a heart much bigger than her serious shelter face suggests. Ready for an affectionate adventure buddy? To meet this pet at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.

Starling is a super playful 5-month-old girl who’s as sweet as she is loving. She adores climbing, chasing toys and turning just about anything into a game. When playtime winds down, Starling becomes a cuddly purr-machine, happy to curl up close and soak in all the love and attention. To meet Starling, please contact Candace at 925-286-8115. Community Concern for Cats now holds weekend adoption events at Pet Food Express stores in Walnut Creek and Martinez along with our regular location at 1250-H Newell Ave. in Walnut Creek. Visit communityconcernforcats.org online for more information.

Eggnog and his sister Cider are sweet tabby kittens who love sun bathing, and chasing toys. They’re hilarious to watch, jumping into the air to “attack” each other in mid-flight, landing on the floor in a pile. They are cat friendly and dog friendly. Discount when you adopt two! Contact the staff at Milo Point Richmond for assistance from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Tuesdays at 220 S. Garrard Blvd. in Richmond. Our dedicated staff is on duty every day caring for our animals and have saved more than more than 52,000 lives over 31 years. For more details, visit milofoundation.org/contact-us.
